§ 01React Native Development

React Native developers in Australia and Philippines. Six years in production, not six months of tutorials.

Anyone can build a demo app. We have been shipping React Native to the App Store and Google Play continuously since 2022. Our longest engagement, a US dental collaboration platform, is still running, still growing, still shipping.

From $475/day. Senior developers and QA, onshore and offshore, working your hours. Brisbane-led. Your app, your team, our developers.

§ 02In practice

The proof: drtalk.

drtalk

drtalk is a secure communication and collaboration platform for dental and healthcare professionals across the United States. Built to the highest healthcare security standards, it enables practitioners to connect, share knowledge, access mentorship, earn CE credits, and monetise their expertise. Think of it as a secure professional network purpose-built for healthcare teams that transcends organisational boundaries.

The platform spans web, iOS, and Android. The mobile apps are React Native (Expo), the web application is Next.js, and the backend is .NET 8 on Azure with Cosmos DB, SignalR for real-time messaging, and Stripe for payments. The whole system has been in continuous production for over six years.

Built and maintained by a blended team across Australia and the Philippines, working AEST hours.

§ 03How we work

What we build with React Native

React Native lets you ship native iOS and Android apps from a single TypeScript codebase. Not a web view pretending to be native. Actual native components, native performance, native feel. The business case is straightforward: one team, one codebase, two platforms, lower total cost.

We use React Native for consumer apps, internal business tools, healthcare platforms, and anything that needs to be on both app stores without maintaining two separate codebases. Our preference is Expo for the development workflow, over-the-air updates, and simplified build pipeline.

For the backend, we pair React Native with .NET on Azure or Node.js, depending on the project. Our full-stack capability means we can own the entire mobile product, not just the frontend.

The blended model

How it works

You tell us what you need. We match a React Native developer (or a small team) from our bench, onshore or offshore. They join your standups, use your tools, and work your sprint cadence. Australian delivery leadership manages quality from Brisbane.

You get direct Slack access to your developers. No handlers, no account managers. The person you talk to is the person writing the code.

Minimum engagement is three months. Most clients stay much longer. drtalk has been running for over six years.

Two engagement models: Team Amplification (individual developers embedded in your team) or Ring-Fenced Teams (a dedicated team allocated only to your product).

Working with us

What "offshore" actually looks like with us

When people hear "offshore React Native" they think 12-hour timezone gaps, account managers, and a junior developer they never speak to. That's not this.

Our React Native team blends onshore and offshore: developers and QA on the Australian East Coast and in Manila. Manila is 2 hours behind Sydney, not 11. Standups are AEST. You talk to the developer writing the code, in your Slack, on your schedule. Australian delivery leadership runs the quality bar.

Where this model isn't right: if you need someone physically in your office every week. For everything else, drtalk, a US healthcare platform built on React Native, has been running this way for six years, won the Good Design Award in 2024, and meets healthcare-grade security standards.

§ 05Common questions

Questions buyers ask first.

How long have you been building React Native apps?
Since 2022. Our longest React Native engagement is drtalk, a US dental collaboration platform we have been developing continuously for over six years. It runs on web, iOS, and Android, enabling healthcare professionals to connect, share knowledge, and earn CE credits.
Is this offshore React Native development?
Yes and no. Our React Native team blends onshore developers and QA on the Australian East Coast with senior developers in the Philippines, all in Aussie hours, with Australian delivery leadership. So technically yes, offshore developers are part of the team. But it doesn't look or feel like the offshore stereotype: no handlers, no account managers, no 12-hour timezone gap. drtalk, a US healthcare platform, has been built and run this way for six years. You get direct Slack access to the senior developer writing the code, AEST standups, and Australian accountability.
React Native or Flutter. Which should I choose?
If you need iOS and Android with a strong JavaScript/TypeScript team, React Native. If you need web, mobile, and desktop from one codebase, or you are targeting government accessibility standards, Flutter. We build with both and will give you an honest recommendation based on your situation, not our preference.
Can you work with our existing React Native app?
Yes. Most of our React Native work is on existing codebases, not greenfield. We have experience upgrading from older React Native versions, migrating to Expo, and refactoring legacy architecture without breaking production.
What about healthcare data security?
drtalk is built to healthcare-grade security standards and serves US dental and healthcare professionals. Our React Native team has hands-on experience with encrypted local storage, secure API communication, biometric authentication, and audit logging. We can apply the same rigour to your app if required.
Do your developers use Expo or bare React Native?
Both. Most new projects start with Expo (managed or bare workflow) because it simplifies builds and over-the-air updates. For apps that need deep native module access or have existing native code, we work with bare React Native. Our drtalk work uses Expo.
Where are your React Native developers based?
Both onshore and offshore. Senior React Native developers and QA on the Australian East Coast and in the Philippines, all in Aussie hours, with Australian delivery leadership from Brisbane. You get direct Slack access. No handlers, no middlemen. The drtalk team has been working this model for over six years. It works.
